Using Humor To Help You Deal With Depression and Anxiety

I was going to write a screenplay about a really sad woman, but I decided to do a blog instead.

Tips, tricks, and random thoughts on mental illness, all from the perspective of a comedy writer.

Using humor to cope with depression and anxiety because sometimes girl you crazy!

There is nothing easy about depression.

One day you’re okay, the next day you can’t get out of bed.  People can’t see it, so they don’t get it.  I mean, you don’t look sick.

Oh STFU Debbie!

Don’t let yourself go to that deep dark place.

Let me help you cope with depression by sharing my practical, difficult, dark, and funny experiences.

Anxiety is the worst. If you don’t have it, you don’t understand it.

It’s like the Jaws music playing, building to the moment, but the shark never shows up. You just keep hearing the music endlessly on a loop.

Your heart races, you can’t sleep, or the thought of having a conversation at a party makes you want to vomit. Girl join the club!

Let me help you by sharing all the things I do to calm the F down.
